I grew up on a 220 acres farm with my parents and 2 brothers.
When each of us kids turned 21, my parents gave us each 20 acres to build a house on. At the time I wasn't in a good position financially to build, so my parents and brothers slowly helped me get the land cleared for the house and small lake I wanted to build (my dad had an excavator.) Finally about 5 years ago, I was comfortable financially a decided it was time to get the house built so I could get out of my apartment. Unfortunately, the weather cause several delays in the construction, and in the interested of being able to move into the new house when my lease expired, I decided to wait to finished the walk out basement until a later time... 5 years later, I literally can't stand having the basement unfinished anymore. The main floor is 2400 sqft and I live alone, so it's not because I need the room. It's just the basement remind me of a concrete cell... My basement is my metaphorical prison. My dad owns a construction busy. One of the guys that works for him his a family friend that recently partially retired, and only works for my dad a day or so a week when they need the help. Jerry is a stand up guy, and is somebody I can trust to be in my house when I'm not home.... and more importantly - when I am. Anyways, Jerry usually works on the basement 1-2 days Monday thru Friday, and most Saturdays. He always calls the day before to let me know he'll be there (he has a key and lets himself into the basement.) Jerry called me on Friday evening to let me know he wasn't going to be able to work on the basement Saturday as he was going to be working for my dad, they had some big concrete job or something. I told him no problem... and asked if the next time he was over, would he would mind looking at the faucet in the kitchen, it was constantly dripping. He said no problem, that it probably be Tuesday or Wednesday. I told him if I wasn't home, just let himself in (like always.) This morning (Saturday), I woke up to the sound of the house phone ringing. I thought (nope too early), so I just let it ring. The answering machine is in the kitchen, and I can't hear it from my room. About 9am rolls around and I finally get my lazy ass out of bed. I live alone, and I sleep naked (unless I'm on my p), and I don't usually bother getting dressed until after I've had my morning coffee. So I wake up, stumble towards the kitchen. I make it have way through the family room, when I see a head pop up by the kitchen sink. I scream before I realized it was Jerry.... and then I screamed again when I realized it was Jerry. I'm butt ass naked, Jerry looks in shock, standing their holding a wrench in his hand trying to figure out wtf is going on.... I take off running towards my bedroom... I quickly toss on some shorts and tshirt, and go back to the kitchen to apologize... Jerry beats me to it "I'm so sorry, I tried calling this morning to tell you the concrete job got cancelled and that I was on my way over - I left a message. I rung the door bell several times and you didn't answer so I figured you weren't home.... I'm so sorry sweetie!" I bust out laughing in embarrassment... Jerry covers red face with his hands and says Oh God and starts chuckling. Jerry replaced the faucet and then went home for the day. lol Last edited by kathybates; 02-15-2020 at 10:27 PM. |

So, the obvious question from me would be, "Did this event turn you on"?

at first it didn't, it scared the shit out of me... once I realized it was Jerry and not some axe murder, I just got embarrassed.
Afterwards, he left and I calmed down a little, it was a huge turn on. |

Our bug man, Carl, called and said he was coming the first Wednesday this month instead of first Thursday, I may have forgotten to tell my wife. In the morning my wife frequently does housework close to nude before she takes a shower and heads out. She didn't hear Carl come in, he was spraying the utility room when she walked in to get clothes out of the dryer.
My wife said she covered with her hands and ran out. She got dressed to write his check, she said he was more embarrassed than she was, but apologies were exchanged. She called me to fuss that I forgot to tell her he was coming a day early, she said when he left Carl he told her she was in great shape for a lady her age. |

I thought one of the most fascinating parts of the story was that you had a land line and answering machine! ;-) |
