Essentially getting the text to match the underlying colour. There were a few artifacts remaining which I tried to clean up a bit. I've attached the result and the original for compariosn. I assume as we didn't classify the text as a watermark (no copyright info or instruction not to copy) this is acceptable to post but Mods please remove if not. I may have a go at doing a couple more if anyone is interested. Took about an hour in total to get it how I wanted so can't do the whole set or anything.
If you have a chance, this is the picture I most wanted to see without the letters:

Default Another example

This discussion on altering the photos is interesting because I do this at home when needed. I’m sure my photo editor tools are not as complex as what we are seeing the results of but often just finding great photo enhancers and filters will do the job. For example I took the ‘fixed’ photo and wiped out those traces of color as well as finding the right filter; I think it’s an improvement especially since the original photo minus the text is black and white.

Using ficidici’s great work, I found the right filter to bring out the people and eliminate the letters. Remnant of a letter on the far left but who cares right, it’s next to a guy.

The ones from last year's calendar are Medkek24's work so credit to him for these.

Out of interest Medkek24 did you use a layer masks and Levels adjustments like I did or another method?

Default SpXorts StrXpped

Glad everyone is enjoying the Letter removed images done by myself and medkek24.

I'd love to see more of last years calendar with the lettering removed medkek24 if you have any more done or time to do some more. If not I might have a go at last years myself a little later in the year.

In terms of this year's calendar it really is an 80:20 rule for the time required. The initial process of creating layer masks over the letters then blending and making levels adjustments only took 20% of the time on the first image I posted. Cleaning up the artifacts left, usually around the edges of the letters is what took 80% of the time. So on the image attached I have only done a small amount of clean up work. You can totally see traces of the lettering on this one but the question is, are people satisfied with this level of clean up or not? If they are then I can complete the work in half the time (like I say I spend some time cleaning up still).

I don't have much time to do them so they would still be drip fed out over the year but at a faster rate and the drip feeding keeps the thread going during the lean summer months! Let me know what you think...

Default Greyhound owners strip off for naked calendar to raise cash for dogs' shelter

Greyhound owners have stripped off for a naked calendar that is being released to raise money for a retired dogs’ shelter.

A total of 10 models braved the cold to pose for shots alongside their pooches, which were all track racing dogs.

They were inspired to do so by the Dunrunnin Rehoming Kennels in Fawkham, Kent, which rehomes greyhounds after they have retired.

Calendar organiser Lanie Hyde, who has adopted two dogs from the shelter, revealed most of the women had never met each other before they posed.
