I�ve been around here for quite a few years. Never posted a picture but posted quite a bit in non-fiction. I enjoy several picture threads and appreciate most all of the posts. I don�t have time to research whether they are repeats or watermarked. I�m here to be entertained. If OCC becomes a pissing contest , finger-pointing forum I will just move on to a more entertaining site.

Watermarked pics are mostly from DEAD sites. ILTB and others. Out of business for a year now.

There's no copyright in action any more or anyone bothering to chase it. I and other LOST membership fees on iltb alone when it shut, and no chance of refunds so the last thing you should be bothered about is crooks claiming copyright.

You are worrying over something favourable - the fact watermarks are cropped out is a double bounus,.

Beach pics in particular are really easy to check - just open tineye.com and drag the thumbnail of the photo you are going to post onto the TinEye page. It will provide easy links to the originals if they are out there. If you get zero results then you're good to go. If there are results you can then see if you have an original or cropped pic. It would probably take 2 - 3 minutes max for a 10 picture post. (This is all assuming the poster isn't cropping the pics him/herself!!).

But I'm not sure that copyright infringement is the only, or even main, point of the rule. Anyone can just google ilovethebeach or candidtans etc and find an endless stream of these pictures, with each one leading to a dozen more. If OCC allows these then it's a slippery and short slope to just allowing anyone to post anything anytime. Then OCC becomes just another random porn site.

Personally, I like OCC even more because it doesn't allow porn stars or obviously professionally shot and produced photos, and I believe that the mods who try to keep this all under control are just trying to maintain the personality and goal of OCC as an amateur site - even if it makes them unpopular at times.

So, here are some beach pictures! I found these on a flickr account and they seemed to be taken at a Florida beach by some swingers at fantasy fest back in 2002.
