WNBR 2019

I didn't want to jump to conclusions, but at this point it seems we are not going to get any decent photos out of the Philly 2019 ride. There are a few hundred, but mostly gay or bad shots, only one really great gallery out there. This is a really bad sign, as this was the best ride in at least 5 years in terms of turnout and fully nude women. I've attended every year since 2013, and I can say without a doubt this was a fantastic year. The weather was great, turnout great, new riders great, repeat riders great, and a massive crowd of pro and am photogs(I counted a half dozen pro shooters and about 25 more ams)...but hardly any photos. A terrible loss considering some of the insanely hot new riders that came and went bottomless. Sorry to bog down the thread with chatter, but I had to mention just how fantastic the ride was and how shitty the photo haul has been. I even reached out to some of the best flickr photogs from years past to remind them of the dates and encourage them to attend. Truly a disappointment!

This why I decided to go and shoot myself, where ever I can. Wnbr galleries are mostly full with utterly useless photos. There are only very few exceptions. Mostly because people shooting there are mostly not photographers, even if they have capable gear, they don`t know how to use it. I see many galleries with exif data and I wonder what the hell was this guy thinking with these settings. I`m not saying it`s easy to shoot an event like this. 2019 was my first year, I made plenty mistakes as well(I`m not a pro), so my hit rate is lower than usually, but i still like my photos quality more, than other ones what I find on flickr.
So I recommend everyone to go and shoot, but learn to use your camera first! (It doesn`t take long, it`s not rocket science!)

Is there a reason that you didn't take any photographs? If you were there, and there were that many photographers, surely you could have taken a few?

I tried taking pics in 2013 (iPod Touch 4th generation) and again in 2015 (iphone 5s) and was literally garbage. I got hell each time, and the pictures were useless. In 16 I decided it’ll be better to let the pros do their job, and it had gone well until now. This year was a real shocker, more photographers than in years past and dramatically fewer photos. One example from this year, a group of 5 or 6 College chicks showed up and started undressing immediately. Within seconds 20 photogs (pro and ams) surrounded. Many of them asking for photos with these gals (not typical in US rides and I’ve never seen in philly). I saw it and worried it was overkill, but was glad I’d be seeing these amazing girls later....two weeks pass and 0 photos of them in the prep area have surfaced. So we run the risk of scaring away the participants we love with overkill on photogs (they literally ran to surround these girls as they undressed, one of which, a busty blonde, put her shirt back on as a result!) and we get 0 pics. It’s a lose lose. I hate it. I’m not blaming anyone or saying I have the answer. I just feel bummed about the photo turnout. Sorry again to bog down this fantastic thread with talk. My apologies for posts without pics.

Fellow member, "Puckot" posted earlier, that she is on zoig.com as "Lindagirl".
Also, she rode on London WNBR 2019 as well. I shot this photo, there are probably plenty others.
