The writing was on the wall for CDM even before Myspace was gaining popularity. It was the same format, the website was never refreshed from the late 90's/early 00's design.

It's similiar to the growth in online sales when retail stores and print magazines ignored the change in customer desires. Ultimately causing them to go out of business.

I personally feel the site started to go downhill after Katelynn was forced to 'retire' and Webhoneys was absorbed into Dreamnet. Elli, Faith Ricquie and Dawn kept it afloat until recently when Faith retired.
