Besides being with her a few times when it could happen, we called one another daily.

After moving many miles from her...we still kept in touch.

Distance, at times, didn't matter. She and I tried hard to keep something going.

1200 miles finally did do us under

She wasn't a close to being a country gal, was rather a city dweller. She is a bigger woman, but I never met a kinder giving person.

Met her at a stock association to do. She was working for a grazing lease company. Her and I visited for a long time and I ended up asking her out for supper. I had steak n beer with all the fixings and she had a chef salad and wine ---how the heck I remember that I have no clue

Shorty after our first meeting I packed up and moved here. Somehow or other we kept up with one another and she even drove all the way here for a long weekend a few months after I was here. Took her out horse back riding. She did damn good for her build and inexperience. Top ten time it was.

A year or so after that long weekend, I drove the long distance, having to go back to Texas, I stopped and spent a couple days with her. Telling you fellas---she could cook! I sure had a dang good time and hated to leave. I had cows and a ranch to attend to and she had her job as well.

This was really close to our last time talking....I got busy and didn't pay all that much attention to her as maybe I should have. The last time I and her visited....goodbyes were said.Hope she is doing ok and I wish her the best.
