So here's a weird contribution...undergrad project involves colorizing black and white pictures without having access to any colored version of the originals. It's an automated process so it's not exactly perfect, but it's still fairly decent(higher quality yields better final results though). Long story short a friend of mine was in one of those calendars(not any I'm posting right now) and she asked me to try to colorize it with my software stuff for fun.

We liked the result and looking back on some old calendar photos I figured why not post some colorizations here? No idea if this is something you guys would appreciate or not, so apologies if it's not something you guys are interested in.

I'm including the automatically colorized versions and the original black and white pictures for comparison(fairly sure all of the originals have been posted in the thread before).

Not a great success. There's a lot of colour bleed (if that's the right term) especially in the Rowers photo. The Rugby pic is more successful - maybe because the background colours are more muted.
The annoying part is that this shouldn't be necessary as the original photos were doubtless originally in colour but have only been published as BW.
