Once upon a sunny day, way back in the 1940s, a certain Mr Land and his young daughter were strolling about and taking snapshots with a very ordinary Kodak type camera.

Said the daughter to Mr Land: "Why can't we see the pictures right away?"

Mr. Land's answer, some time in coming, was the Polaroid Land camera.

Some of its applications were obvious!

He should have said "because if you took the picture with an instant camera, the pictures would be expensive, be small, come out blurry with brown/orange/ dark tones and colour which will fade over time. However it would be a great way of photograping your moms tits without her worrying about others seeing it. Im on it."

I fully agree with you on all points.

They do have a certain nostalgic charm, though, and we are left with many pics we would never have seen otherwise, even given their limitations.

Some of these were taken by British photographer Harrison Marks in the 1950s & 60s. The rest are continentals. No. 4 is from a 60s Danish publication called 'Croquis'. Anyone remember it?
