The yellow star backdrop was kept for the Miss Nude California pageant held in October of 1979, with �California� pasted over the USA bit � I�m afraid I don�t know the name of the winner.

Here are a few pictures of the contest. These have appeared before as part of a magazine spread, but I�ve cropped and resized some of them to make things easier to see � credit to the original scanner/posters.

In 1980 the national pageant was again named Ms Nude International USA and adopted an American Indian theme. The backdrop was repainted appropriately and the contestants (occasionally) wore headdresses. As noted by Jennysathome, Texan, Dell Berger won the competition.

These are (mostly) cropped versions of pages from a magazine article which may have appeared here earlier, so complements and credit to whoever posted them first.

I�m not absolutely sure about these pictures, but they may be contestants from the Miss Nude California pageant later in 1980. The clue is in the last picture where you can see a modified version of the backdrop from the national pageant (previous post). Unfortunately I don�t have any images of the line-ups or any idea who won the competition so if anyone can confirm or disprove my theory or provide any more information, it would be appreciated.

Were there two contests in 1979? Or was there a separate photo day before the actual event, where the contestants had different numbers?

Here's why I'm confused. I was at a Treehouse contest in 1979. In post #652, Pam Disandro is definitely #3. But in the contest I saw, she as #15 (as you can clearly see). She won this pageant.

The Hispanic girl in the first photo in post #655, (#13), was contestant #14 at my pageant, and the blonde with the short hair in the second photo, #14, was #2.

And just for kicks, my favorite, #11, whom I believe is #10 in post #652.

Also, regarding post #661, those photos may be from a photo day at Treehouse Fun Ranch. These were entirely separate from the Nude Whatever pageants. Treehouse (and nearby Olive Dell as well) used to have periodic "figure shoots" as fund-raisers.

I recall Treehouse had a western set on their parking lot, and some of the pics seem to be shot there. Another clue is that there is a boat in one of the pics. At the one photo shoot I was at, they brought in some ultralights; I suppose they typically brought in vehicles as props.

This ad is from the October 1990 issue of Western Photographer magazine, a cheap newsprint publication which carried ads for photo shoots, workshops, classes and the like.
