Please don't post images with the name of the website on them.

The majority of the photos in this entire thread contain either the logo or url of the photobooth company they are from on them... I get the watermark thing as it is meant as a copyright but the url is there for advertising purposes and is used by most of the companies. It's in the rules. Regardless of the purpose of the watermark, they aren't allowed. The watermark from a photobooth is indeed there for advertising. If you like the pictures, they would like you to either purchase them from the booth owner (copyright)or rent a booth for your own event (advertising).

While posting a photo from an automated booth doesn't qualify as spam, it does promote a product or service.

The reason for the inconsistency is that we can't possibly monitor every post in every thread. Instead, we have to rely on members to report when they find images that violate the forum rules. Certain threads may get more scrutiny than others because they have a history of violations. Like this one.

Bottom line is that I'd like to encourage folks to find and post the 'clean' images and report the ones that don't belong.
