I hope some of the previous "choice posters" Crispus is referring to didn't inadvertently miss seeing the ride same way I missed it.

I was with a group near the art museum, near the famous "Rocky" statue, that was eagerly waiting for the ride to pass. The larger crowd included quite a few serious photographers with their SLRs, as well as people on bikes waiting to join the ride. That group included some interesting babes in superhero like capes. One photog with a tripod was all set up to get the classic shot of the ride passing in front of the Rocky steps.

According to the route map, the ride was suppose to start in a park across the river and cross over to the art museum area shortly after, and then cross back and ride through the university section. I'm sure the serious photogs were planning to then hustle down to the City Hall area to catch the riders again once they crossed back to our side of the river. There were two spots that the ride would pass twice, and being there would provide the most opportunities for pictures.

But, after 3-pm we all waited, and waited, and waited. In recent years the PNBR has been a half hour or so late in getting started, so it took us all that much longer to figure out what had actually happened.

A couple of hours before the ride started the starting point was changed to another park on the other side of the river, and the route was changed to eliminate the art museum pass. Those of us at the art museum just never got the word which was put out on Facebook, and by the time we hoofed it down to the City Hall area the ride had already passed. I then made my way back to my car, dealt with the narrow streets and heavy traffic and got to the park where the ride ended just in time to see all the fully dressed riders leaving. The closest thing I saw to an organized bike ride that day was groups of tourists on rented Segways.

Let's hope some of those serious photogs at the art museum were more successful than I was in catching up to the ride and will be posting their stuff soon.

Given the post linked in the post you refer to, as well as the one the linked post links, I'd say the woman is the only one seen in https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/show...postcount=1377 and https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/show...postcount=1374 ...perhaps it's time to resurrect the crispus mantra, which yielded these 3 LA and 7 Philadelphia ones: Keep Checking Back!
