Female MMA Fighter Betina Baino Arrested Twice for Walking Around Naked in Brazil

n what she called a protest for not having healthcare, mixed martial artist Betina Baino has been arrested twice during the past week for walking naked in the streets of Brazil.

The news comes by way of a report from Brazilian outlet G1, which approached the fighter while she was in the middle of her second nude walk. Baino offered this explanation for her actions. (Translation via Google Translate)

“I'm not naked, I'm natural. What is not natural is we do not have health care. What is not natural is an athlete to become a prostitute to survive. What is not natural is a prostitute who was to be rich without turning [tricks]. I think it's normal [to walk] without clothes because I'm healthy, I'm beautiful," Baino told G1. “It's a rant. Following her first arrest last week, Baino was driven to a local mental health facility to undergo a psychological examination. Records show Baino already has a documented history of mental health issues that have previously been under medical surveillance.

The spate of stripping started October 30th, when a 30 year-old woman was taken to a psychiatric clinic after taking off her clothes and running through Moinhos de Vento Park, also known as the Big Park. The Municipal Secretary of Health said the woman’s family informed the authorities she suffered from mental illness.

She went to find husband Cheng, 30, who was completely naked in a car along with her sister.

But Ting saw her opportunity, jumped into the car and drove off, leaving the embarrassed pair where they stood.

Naked Kansas woman tries to get into wrong car, ends up in police car

A 53-year-old woman didn’t bother to put on a coat — or any other clothing — shortly before midnight Wednesday when she went out into the snow and cold and tried to get into another woman’s car in the 1100 block of South Sedgwick. That’s east of Meridian and several blocks south of Kellogg.

When officers arrived, the naked woman balled up her fists and approached them “aggressively,” Lt. Joe Schroeder said.

As she was being taken into custody, she kicked an officer in the leg. The person who called police is a 24-year-old woman not related to the suspect, Schroeder said.

The naked woman was taken directly to the Sedgwick County Jail, not to a local hospital for evaluation.

For officers, Schroeder said, “It’s one of those situations where you don’t want to go ‘hands on.’ ”
