Finally, he got up the nerve to ask me why I was turning down these pretty young ladies, to which I replied " I am waiting for the most beautiful woman in the world to come and meet me here."
He snickered, and I could see in his eyes he thought I was full of crap.

I sat with my back to the entrance, something I never do. The place went silent, then slow murmurs were heard.
One of the guys at the bar, his mouth hanging open, suddenly said "It's an actress. She has to be an actress."
The bartender quickly wiped an area off in front of him and nervously began to sweat as I heard the maître d bowing and scraping before someone at the front door

"Welcome Miss____." but he got no answer in return.
"did you have a reservation?"
I heard her voice, but did not turn, letting the suspense build.
"yes, I am sure there is, however I am looking for someone. I'll be in the bar until we are ready."
With his biggest smile, the bartender looked hopeful as as I knew she was approaching.
"Hello Ma'am, what could I get for you." he said past my shoulder.

"I am looking for for a gentleman, one who is tall and handsome, and he has to be a good lover." she replied
Some of the guys dusted off their shirts or prepared to stand up, however that is when I turned around to the vision she was.

Her jaw dropped at my transformation, then curled into a smile, mine however just dropped and stayed there.
She was wearing a floor length backless red dress with a slit up the side that showed nude stockings and red 6 inch high heeled shoes.
Her hair was blond, and on her face she wore a delicate metal silver mask that accented her eyes and femininity.
I heard a glass drop behind the bar as I rose to meet her.

"Perhaps I can be of some assistance with that request." I said.
"Oh, do you know someone who fits that description?" she quipped back.
"I have just the guy in mind. We could talk about it over dinner, if you are interested." I answered.
"I don't know," she taunted " I will need a lot of attention. How do know you won't run off with another woman."
in the background I heard " I'll do it" but ignored it.
"Why, only a fool would run off on someone like you, and you have the attention of the entire restaurant, what more could you ask for?"
with a smile she replied "We can discuss that over dinner." and she took my hand.

I took a twenty out of my pocket and placed it under my drink for the bartender. He just smiled and said "Well worth waiting for." tipped his imaginary hat and motioned for someone to escort us to our table.

The first table was too public and we requested a more private one. At first the waiter balked at the request, but as I took her arm and began walking toward the door, one "Magically " opened up and we were able to sit in a more private section, one reserved for VIP's I am sure, since they still have not decided if they had an actress on their hands.
Why she must be incognito, why else the simple yet elegant mask she wore?
