If you have a smartphone and wish to follow riders' location then see below. Taken from the Facebook site
A few people have asked about how to find us when we're on the move, e.g. if you miss the start. This year, we'll be testing out Glympse. If you install the free app on your smartphone, you can join the !wnbrlondon group (the ! at the start is important), then broadcast your location. Anyone else can then go to this website to find out where we are: hxxp://www.glympse.com/!wnbrlondon NB If you use the app then you need to leave it running so that it will keep up with your current location. Hopefully we will see the ride as 6 separate groups initially, which then merge together. |

Others: Call me snide, but as implied in https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/sho...&postcount=622 , my previous take on this matter of utmost import is that it's actually to prevent the kind of shrinkage that a long bumpy ride might precipitate, rather than curbing excessive, erm, enthusiasm... Side note: most of these are from a user who may have thought they were "private"; i.e. they don't show up in searches or in his photostream, but once posted to a flickr group, become visible to anyone belonging to that group. If no download option allowed, either save 'complete page', or do a screenprint, and edit out bits you don't need

(1) Click on the 3 dots. If All Sizes/Download comes up, you click on the All Sizes window to view all sizes, then download the size you want.
(2) If All Sizes/Download doesn't come up, then: (a) Right-click on the screen; you should get options which include View Page Source. (b) Select and click on View Page Source (c) On View Page Source, press [Ctrl]+[F] to get Find box (d) In the Find box, type n.jpg (e) Either the 1st or 2nd occurrence of n.jpg should be hot-linked, i.e. you could click on it to get a photo HOWEVER, you don't want n.jpg. (f) Next to a/o under the n.jpg hotlink should be another hotlink for the photo at the biggest size available, k.jpg, h.jpg, or b.jpg (g) Click on that hotlink, and you'll get the photo at the bigger size, which you can then save. |

the los angeles ride is scheduled for tomorrow(6/14/2014), the starting point/ festival will be on the 400 block of N san fernando road (90031). I'm hoping someone from the community will be able to go admire and capture the event, I want to make it out there myself but my graduation is tomorrow so I am not yet sure if that will be a possibility

![]() Well, I've brought this up with 3rd or 4th gen Indians born outside of India and the lot thought of the event as very amusing - you'd always get a few embarrassed enough to switch conversations, as expected. |

There was a "clothing optional" bike ride in New York City on Friday night, that was promoted as "being in solidarity with the WNBR" but there appeared to be much that went wrong, including a near absence of female riders.
The New York ride seems to desperately need more effective organizing and communications. There was no reason given for it not being a WNBR event, and the main WNBR website was never updated to show this 2014 event, It still lists last year's ride. Until ride day, the Twitter feed had two tweets in the last month, and the Facebook page had no recent updates. And when New York got deluged by a line of thunderstorms right around the ride assembly time, some riders arrived to find nobody on the scene, and their tweets asking where everybody was were not answered. As a result, some of those who had planned to ride, bailed out. The ride was scheduled to start at 6-pm, and did start around 6:40, but that fact wasn't mentioned on the Twitter feed, or Facebook for hours, so delayed riders who wanted to find the ride in progress had no idea if it even was happening, until it was over. New York has some great dedicated bike lanes, and there is a new nine minute Youtube video of Friday's group riding along one of them in the rain. I watched it and think I saw two females, both fully covered. There were also a couple of dozen guys. They reported that they rode for a couple of hours and then issued these two tweets about having police problems: The 6th precinct just used 6 officers to disrupt our peaceful ride.Stopping more traffic then we were. Resulting in 2 arrests. Shame on them Multiple undercover vehicles used, including a taxi cab cop car. In the video you could see the marked police cars at the start, so they had to know the NYPD was watching them. No reasons for the arrests were given, and it's not even worth speculating. A few years ago, one rider was arrested for riding on the sidewalk, which most local bikers know is a big no-no in NYC. The NYC riders also have done things in the past to "tweak" the cops. There is one picture on some of their websites, and in news reports showing one of their naked male riders in the middle of a busy intersection with "F__CK Pigs" written in red paint on his back. That's NOT the way to "make friends and influence people" whose cooperation can make the ride a success. I suspect that the NYC Ride has some real "Radical" problems that need fixing, if it is ever going to rise to the level of rides in other cities. Thankfully, there are many other rides this weekend, including London, where things, including the weather, will go much better, and hopefully there will be plenty of great pictures of riders and spectators having a great time, |
