(Again, this is the exact same shot. Who's ripping off who here? )

Save for NewXcastle, they all have a very similar look to them too: they're all shot in black and white and they all feature pictures of girls posing by the water and in and with boats, covered by life jackets, oars and megaphones. I mean, I know they're rowing calendars but they start to blend together after a while. There just doesn't seem to be much originality shown when it comes to rowing calendars, is what I'm saying. (Actually, I should praise the ShoreXham and NewXcastle calendars for showing a little originality with the workout room and team celebration shots; it's good to get away from the strict rowing motif.) Does the same photographer do all of these calendars?

(P.S. None of this should be taken as a complaint. I appreciate all of the calendars that get posted here, especially the ones that are bought and scanned by our members, and I highly encourage any and all naked calendars to be posted here. I'm just pointing out some similarities that I've noticed and found interesting.)

What we need to remember about these calendars is that they're not generally hiring a bunch of professional nude models; they're depending on a bunch of amateur volunteers. They therefore don't have the luxury of being able to say "We're gonna showcase more of your boobs this year"; they've got to start with "How much skin is everybody comfortable with?" That's why you see so many of these things where half the girls still have their panties on.

Yep - starting with minimal coverage can lead to possible other opportunities.... I'm thinking WNBR among others.

If the volunteers had a copy of last year's calendar and pointed to one of the pictures and said, "I think that I can do that pose." Hence, very few original poses.

Some recent finds

There are still a few productions of CG scheduled before the amateur license window closes at the end of February but nothing much worth posting has emerged.
