UbuuSG,
You DO NOT need to open any new ports on your router. Do you have a pop-up blocker installed? The "Manage Attachments" button will open a new window to let you choose the file(s) you want to upload. This could be blocked by some software. I hope this helps,

That is odd. Does the window eventually get some sort of time out error if you wait long enough?
Do me a favor. Try uploading a small .JPG file in the Post Testing Area forum and tell me exactly what happens. Thanks

i tried posting a 64k jpg and it did the same thing.. internet explorer will sit there forever, mozilla eventually comes up with a "document contains no data" dialog box. I am gonna look through privacy/security settings for both browsers see if that has anything to do with it.

Sorry can't help but I just wanted to say I've had similar experiences lately. To preview some of my recent
posts I've had to stop and start the process several times before I got one that would actually do something and not just sit there. On my last post the attachments took a lot longer to upload than normal and I never could preview the post. When I hit the submit message button the animated connecting bar in the bottom of explorer stopped about 90 % of the way done and would go no further it sat there long enough for me to have a smoke. I stopped it eventually and tried again, samething. Finally I gave up closed the window, opened a new browser window and came back to occ. When I checked the forum my post was there. I don't get it. |
