Let's hope this is the first of many increasingly larger Clacton-on-Sea rides, and that that one brave, center-of-attention, woman has lots more company and attention competition in the years to come. It's nice to have a new ride to look for a month after most are over.

By the way, bikers in the Eastern US can get ready for the big Philly ride on August 25th, 2013.

Be There, and Be Bare !!!

The council isn't too happy about this to say the least and seem determined to stop it happening again.

Council leader was quoted as saying " Tendring as a whole prides itself on being family friendly and we are in danger of having that spoilt with the type of events we have had to suffer ( there was a naked swim as well ) over the past few weeks. Now I hear the organisers are planning another ride in Clacton next year as well as trying to organise the UK's first naked fun run - I hope they are not thinking of anywhere in Tendring. The council now wants to meet with police and other agencies to stop such events. I feel that there must be a way that we can say no and I want to find out what it is."
Another council member said " I will certainly be bringing this up with the police and suggest we investigate what we can do to prevent a repeat of what we have witnessed this summer.

Ironic that the same police they are going to consult with explicitly told the riders exactly how to stay within the law and escorted them.....
