Mouse came from Israel and had served in some branch of the military, but would never say which. He was five foot tall but had broad shoulders and a very athletic build. In hand to hand combat, his Krav was one of the best I had ever seen. This was a guy that few took serious until it was too late.

This lovely lady was explaining to us over a few drinks that she was working on a story that one of the nephews of a member of royalty for a major Arab country was financing some terrorist attacks taking place and she was there to make connections with a contact that would provide her with bank records to prove it.
After fliting and dancing the night away with Mouse, she said her goodbyes and left the bar.

She was found two days later in her ransacked hotel room, dead. the Police picked up a suspect who had left finger prints at the scene, but released him later that day because of "Diplomatic Immunity".
That is were I became very close to Mouse and listened very closely to what he and one other guy had planned out.

Everyone would remember a guy as tall as me, so I was the distraction. We learned that this man liked to go to the market and would be known to pick up prostitutes there. He ate his lunch, drank some wine, then went on the prowl for an afternoon delight.

So, while he was eating lunch, I approached his table and publicly and loudly accused him of being a murderer. If he was so tough he could kill a women, try a man. All eyes were on me while Mouse slipped the visine in his wine.
After being escorted out of the restaurant by the staff, I watched him finish his wine and leave for the market outside.

As if on cue, the target ran toward the public bathroom. I watched Mouse follow him in. I was now beginning to address the people of the market in a loud voice of the dangers of allowing foreign people to commit murder on the soil and walk away. As soon as I began to berate the Police, they were there to tell me to leave or be taken into custody.

Thank you very much fiend36, very high praise indeed, but that compliment is one I can not accept. The true patriots have made the ultimate sacrifice and earned the honor of being called a hero. They are at Arlington and Jefferson Berrics, where once or twice a year someone places flags on their graves so the public would remember. We should not need a reminder, we can see what they died for in every part of our country.

Agreed, but fortunately not all patriots must make that ultimate sacrifice. Hundreds of thousands volunteer to keep our nation safe at home and abroad not for fame or fortune, but because they feel the need to serve the higher good. They are patriots one and all. You are so right; we shouldn't need a reminder of the fallen sacrifice. As a retired military man, I and all the vets I know, do what we can to keep their memory alive. Thanks again for all you do here, and "out there".
