Default Is it just me...

...or is the amount of off-topic stuff increasing here?

Im not complaining about people posting BUT its getting harder to find stuff. A lot of the ENF/caught threads contains stuff that is clearly posed and the hardcore section is overflowing with softcore material. I know its hard to moderate a site like this but it used to be way better in this department.

Maybe the mod squad should do some serious policeing for a while to restore order?

With that being said - keep up the good work!

Cheers!

Default You aren't alone.

I think there a LOT of folks posting lately, who do not speak English as their primary language. I don't want to discourage them from posting either. Some of what they have been putting up is really nice. The Chrome browser allows a person to translate a page but if the concept of 'thread' and 'topic' aren't understood, good luck explaining 're-post'!
I'm not really complaining either, but, yeah. I noticed it too.

When is "too much porn" a problem?

All kidding aside, it is great to see the forums are consistently becoming more active with new people posting. We've seen exponential growth over the past eight years that shows no sign of slowing down. We always want to embrace and encourage new posters. I'm hesitant to push for the forums to become "over moderated" in a way that would descourage posters new and old. The moderators walk a fine line to keep this balance and in my opinion, they do a great job.

I'll comment on a couple issues we deal with all the time. Since day one, the "ENF" forum has been a challenge because there is quite a variety in how different people perceive what constitutes "ENF". When a new thread is created that doesn't remotely fit the theme, it will get moved to the best fitting forum. Beyond that, it would be nearly impossible to micromanage every new photo in every new post that shows up in the "ENF" forum.

Generally, if a thread has anything that shows penetration it belongs in one of the "hardcore" forums. Yes, you'll find threads that might be 99% softcore in one of the "hardcore" forums. However, it only takes one photo or video to tip the scale to make it belong in a "hardcore" forum. That's the way we have always managed things here. If you were to ask the moderators, I'm sure they would all agree that the most common scenario where a thread needs to get moved is because it contains hardcore material and has been posted in one of the other forums. This is also tricky, because some threads start softcore but eventually on topic material can be added that warrants moving the thread to a "hardcore" forum.

My view is that kindness and encouragement goes a long way. Rather than getting frustrated (or wishing off topic posts were deleted) I think it's better to encourage people to keep posting, but point them in the direction of the most appropriate forum or existing thread. That's something we have all been doing together as a community. Keeping a friendly and supportive attitude has served us well over the years and this really sets us apart from most of the other sites out there.

Thanks,

I don't want to see perfectly fine porn deleted! God forbid!

But it would be nice to see clearly off-topic stuff being moved to the section where it belongs with a kind comment as to why it was moved. My main issue lies with the "caught"/"voyeur" type threads when posed stuff is being posted over and over again.

And to be honest I'd rather see 10 on-topic threads/posts than 1000 off-topic ones. But as this thread title states: maybe thats just my opinion.

Thanx for giving feedback to my mini-rant!

On an ideal forum, I too would rather see 10 on-topic threads than far more off-topic. However, OCC is run by a for-profit company. As they have explained time and time again, the cost of running such a large forum as OCC is very considerable. Thus it lies in their interest to gain members, some of which will also purchase an OCC membership. As a non-paying member of OCC it is pretty counter-productive to ask for less material (although I am propagating for this in one sense below).

On a more serious note, the "strictly over 18" rule has never been adhered to, especially in the ENF section. If the mods applied the rule "if you're not sure of someone's age, don't post it" as "if we're not certain the girl is over 18, we'll delete it", such pictures with girls that "no way, no chance, no how" are above 18, this forum would be better. That's actually my biggest concern when viewing ENF threads. No kidding, I usually hold my hands in front of the screen and glean between my fingers to try and see the faces before determining if I should look at the actual picture.

In 5 years I never contributed anything to OCC, so I've never posted any suggestions or complaints either. Although my contributions of late are still quite negligible, I though I would raise this issue when I saw this thread.

If you see a rule violation, please file a report. This applies to "off-topic" posts too. The sooner we identify issues, the quicker we can respond to maintain order and consistency.

Simply stating that there is questionable content does not help us moderate the forum. This is a community effort, and the quality of the forum rests with the willingness of the members to participate as you are doing here.

We appreciate your insight, and encourage you to show us the specific examples of posts that require attention. As Alex noted, we will not be able to make everything perfect, but we can't begin to make it better without your insight.

Will do! And you are right - a community is only as good as its members!

Again, thanx for all feedback to this thread!

Theres only 2 problems that really bother me to the point i hit the report button, but i report plenty of them.

Amateur means to some people anyone less famous than Jenna Jameson, its pretty clear what constitutes amateur and the 'pro am' is obviously staged and too well lit. But some folks aint too bright i guess.

The proliferation of links, the who is she thread is the worst offender by far. giving a screen name or site for someone to google os ok, but the links bug me.

the third i just ignore now, if the poster had typed 'what opens a rar?' in google instead of a post they would have their own answer. So its clearly their first day on the internet.
