Portland numbers...
Oh, and just for the hell of it - lets see...
we had an estimated 10,000 riders..... ......probably around 40% female.....say......4,000 women... ......92% under 30.........thats 3,680 women under 30.... ......lots of topless, but no shortage of fully nude ones either, say 25%.......thats 920 fully nude women under 30 yo.. and, if it matters.........95% of those were unpainted....874 fully nude, unpainted women under 30 yo.. Now, that seems a bit high so maybe my math is off. I mean, based on my hunch just as an observer, I'd probably have said more like 500-700... still, that is awesome..and BTW, the pic I linked to in my previous post is probably the best I've ever seen at giving you a sense for the magnitude of this incredible event. Looking at that, one can imagine my numbers as being roughly valid. Take a good look at that pic. NOthing I've ever seen outside of a Spencer Tunick shoot can compare with this throng of bodies. Portland nighttime ride
THe first quality (and uncopyrighted) pics from the Portland night ride have come through at Flickr. Here is the link to the entire gallery:

I think the guy that took these was also a rider, so they were taken from inside the area, not behind the fence. Then three nice posed shots pre-ride. Then there is one butt shot en route. And finally, what turned out to be a post-ride party (2 pics) up by the water a short distance from the ride. IN past years, after ride dance parties were held indoors, but this was right outside in plain sight. Pretty cool......and only here in the city that likes to get naked! Klondike
