Notice the redhead with the thigh-highs in the first two pics. I'm surprised we're this deep into the B2B photos and this is the first time I've seen her. She's one of the recognizable, oft-photographed green hat crew too. Though it's tough to tell from this angle, she appears to be a younger, fit naked woman. I wonder why there aren't more pics of her?

Also, notice in the last pic how a couple different groups of naked runners, usually seen separately, are still grouped together. This must be very near the start of the run. I've always wanted a pic of the naked runners, grouped together pre-race, or even better getting stripped before the race. I've seen a couple photos like that, but they're usually just the guys and maybe the older women. The younger women are always shielded from view. I think if I ever make it out to B2B, I'm going to just hang around the start where all that happens and get some pics.

Great article here. Nina, 22, talks about running naked for the first time. There's a censored pic of Nina along with the story (attached). But why haven't we seen her photographed elsewhere? I've noticed some of the naked runners manage to get by with relatively little photos taken.

sorry if this is off topic - this is an old pic which got filed with my naked protest pics. But in the background are what look like Bay to Breakers runners. Can anyone tell me if this is a Bay to Breakers pic? Seemed a good place to ask (Flanker7..)....thanks..I repeat, this is not a Bay to Breakers 2012 pic..

Klondike: Yes it is B2B, but exif on the version I have saved indicates it was '04; a cursory check of my others finds her on some, which helpfully also list '04 but unhelpfully (at least for posting here) include the '04 in the watermark - check your Flash4Us sets...

I would agree. If you magnify the picture, you will see the Albertson's logo on the bibs above the numbers. They sponsored B2B from 2003-2005.

So maybe it did start off as a normal clothed family outing, and the maybe the adventurous daughter tells her mom, "Hey, I think I'm going to get naked." And the liberal hippie mom says, "Sure honey, whatever makes you happy." A few miles later the brother (or friend) joins in.

In addition you'll notice their bib numbers are fairly close in sequential order, which could mean they were purchased together. However, since they're not exactly in sequential order, that might mean they were purchased as part of a larger group, which in turn might indicate they know each other through a club, student group, or other organization. So I guess that isn't much help, but at least it eliminates the possibility that it was a random strange whom they asked to hold their clothes.

Anyway, I'm not sure exactly what the story is, but this pic is obviously another piece of the puzzle.

One of the weirdest things I've ever seen was (what appeared to be, at least) a family waiting for the Burlington, VT version of the World Naked Bike Ride to begin. A mother and father in their 40s or early 50s, and a sister and brother in their late teens or early 20s. The father, mother and daughter were all fully clothed. The brother was nude, straddling his bicycle. with the mother holding his clothes for him.

For obvious reasons, I'm not going to post the pics here, but if you go to Flickr and search for "wnbr burlington," you'll see at least three pics of the family. I was reminded of them when I saw this group.

I can just see the poor kid saying, "Golly Sis, I really appreciate your showing up this morning to watch me ride my bike naked..."
