they actually do take full body shoots, I work in a corrections institution in NV upon intake inmates have there effects taken away, this is everything from a wedding ring to their underwear, this is all photographed and clearly documents on a personal effects sheet, at this time the inmate goes through a very intrusive search. After which intake photos are taken. this consists of head shots straight, left, right and full body shots. The body shots are to document tattoo's or other bodily feature that could be gang symbols or simply birth marks than could be used to identify someone. It's done because cosmetic surgery is readily available anymore. Also any injuries upon intake are documents, sometimes in graphic detail. After photos and general processing they inmates are either given the basics or their clothes back, assuming it's a minor offense and they'll post bail before the day is out, or prison issue clothing if it looks like they'll be going to county

There isn't much of E or N in many of the threads on the OCC but that doesn't stop them being put up anyway. |

I think the arrest photo is one of a lot of events in the booking procedure and it appears to be on the whim of the booking officer whether to take the photo while the detainee is undressed, or just "as it comes" and the detainee is photographed while she (or he) just happens to be undressed at the time. Certainly, most photos are of detainees clothed or in their prison clothing... |

I would have thought it very unusual that women would be photographed after having been stripped naked, but some of the photos, such as this one, reveal enough skin that I find it hard to conclude otherwise.
I wonder if these are post-arrest photos, or are they pictures of women who were convicted and sent away to serve a sentence? |

Of course what we're all wondering is if these pix are taken by male or female officers?

Sorry but without proof I'm calling bullshit on the claim that nude pictures are taken. If that were true surely some would have leaked out at some point from somewhere, no way nothing would have been leaked. Prison authorities would be getting hit with law suits daily if that was happening.

I have feeling a few people here are playing out the odd sexual fantasy. I really wouldn't get uptight about whether all this is true or not.
