We were lucky, and I feel fortunate to still have her around. I know of one previous girlfriend, and another girfriend's mother, who are no longer with us due to breast cancer. The more we can make the issue visible -and posters like the one above are incredibly important- the better. I think it's important that you -you reading right now- to be aware of this and tonight, when you kiss your wife or girlfriend goodnight, get into a habit of kissing, fondling and stroking her breasts goodnight with an awareness of lumps that weren't there before.
