Repairing Digital Video

I've got (had) tons of great footage of an ex on digital video tape. Trouble is, the tape is broken. It literally ripped.

Is it possible to splice digital video back together? Any recommendations as to who might be able to do this--discreetly and to "sensitive" material, I might add?

Trust me, this footage is worth getting back. Great body on my ex, great audio, hot stuff. Had a few (very few) vidcaps at one point, might post 'em to generate interest if I can hunt them down.

I did a search and it seems like this is possible. It's a matter of finding someone you trust to do this. It may not be too difficult to fix yourself with a bit of instruction.

Is it a MiniDV tape? What country are you located in?

It is MiniDV. I am in the US.

My company is capable of fixing video tapes. It's a service we offer all the time. The question now... how do we provide this service without everyone knowing I got the business while visiting this board?

At a place like Radio Shack you should be able to buy splicing tape that should work well enough for you to dub off the undamaged portion of the tape to another medium.
