The (for lack of a better term) mud vein marking the treasure trail strongly implies Indian or maybe Indian mix to me, but the cultural cues from the pics and the foot tattoo don't necessarily jive. These are, as you surmise, likely taken in America. Quite a body regardless, so we can let her in.
