After 12 hours in the emergency room, she was transfered to ICU. They hooked up a 12 lead EKG. One of the leads was on her right boob and 3 leads were on her left boob. She spent 2 days in ICU and then transfer to a telemetry unit where she spent 3 days. She had to wear a hospital gown and naked under it the whole time she was in the hospital because of the EKG leads and catherter. It seemed like every couple hours a lead would come off and a telemetry technican would come to the room and pull the top of her gown down and reattach the lead. The telemetry technicans were always male.

When she was in ICU and telemetry, I don't think anyone other than hospital workers saw her naked. She wasn't ashamed or embarrassed.

My wife recently had to go into hospital for a minor operation. She'd had a few stomach pains and our GP had diagnosed a grumbling appendix. She'd been to see the surgeon and he'd agreed to book her in to do the operation just before the Christmas holidays so that she didn't have to take too much time off work. My wife is a barrister and very committed to her profession. She is very straight laced but we have a good private life. She's not hung up about sex just doesn't believe in talking about it or demonstrative displays of affection.

So she arrives at the hospital. I had offered to take her but she had refused. I said I would call in that evening after the operation but she said not to bother wasting my time she'd be home the next day. Just like my wife no fuss very pragmatic and down to earth.

The nurse admitting her takes her to a bed and draws the curtains around. She tells my wife to strip off naked, empathising the word naked and get into bed. Now my wife tends to take things literally. Normally she questions everything anyone says to arrive at exactly what they mean. On this occasion however perhaps because of nerves she does have some somewhere. She just did has instructed.

She stripped completely naked and got into bed.

The nurse poked her head in and quickly drew the curtains saying doctor will be along shortly.

Some 15 minutes later a man approaches the bed and smiles says her name and approaches the bed takes hold of the bed clothes and begins to say as he pulls on the bed clothes that he has come to take her for some pre-anaesthetic tests. The bed clothes are pulled right back and the man blushed bright red. My wife blushed crimson. She is laid there completely naked. Her breasts and blonde bush on show. She said she was transfixed, she didn’t know what to do. She’d not been in hospital ever. Not even to visit someone. She wasn’t sure if this was normal or not but she figured not. Was this guy genuine or some stranger taking advantage of the situation. So she just lay there and did nothing.

The guy coughs and apologises but still holding back the clothes. My wife just looking at him and long her naked body. The nurse seeing what as happen rushes over and my wife is now extra mortified by the fact that the nurse says. You where suppose to put on your night dress. This just made everyone in the room look if they hadn’t already took in the sight of her nakedness they now did briefly before the nurse took the bed clothes out of the porters hand and pulled them back over.

My wife dressed in her night dress and had her pre anaesthetic checks. Then her time came for her operation. She was taken down and brought back.

The next bit she does not know whether it was a dream or reality. She remembers lying awake but in darkness and being completely naked. She hears a men say well that's the second time today that the world as seen everything.

A doctor friend of ours says that it does happen that when patients are anesthetised and taken into the operation room they are undressed and the staff will see everything. Perhaps this was what she overheard before the anaesthetic worked fully. Or was it just a trick of her mind.

I spent a fair amount of time in OR as a medical photographer.
It does happen frequently. For abdominal surgery, the patients are usually nude, then d****d, exposing only the field of interest. After surgery, the d****s are changed.
I remember on case in particular, a large black woman. They were finished, and the d****s taken off, but no one covered her back up. After her laying there spreadeagled for about 5 minutes, one of the nurses said "Will someone please cover the patient up?"

My sister (28) recently had to go into hospital for an operation. It was to remove a mole. She arrived at the hospital and the nurse took her to a bathroom. The nurse said she was to have a bath with some special soap then dress in the gown, socks, and flip-flops provided. My sister was a little embarrassed having to undress in front of the nurse. She was about 16 just a young trainee. {if this was a UK hospital she'd be a nursing cadet}.

The nurse left to see to another patient and said she'd be back in 10 minutes. My sister settled into the water and washed herself as per the nurses instructions. She stood up to rinse off the soap using the shower head. Has she was stood there naked obviously with the shower head in hand above her head and other hand on control knob the bathroom door burst open and a man about 40 years old was in the bathroom and half way to the bath. He came to a stop looking my sister up and down smiled and then collected himself and said sorry, must have been told the wrong bathroom. I'm here to fix the plumbing. He kept is eye on my sister all the time. She'd started the water from the shower head which meant that she wasn't sure what to do. She turned the water off and replaced the shower head on its stand and covered.

All this time the man could see everything and made no move to leave.

My sister now said. "Excuse me could you leave please" "Oh yes sure" the guy said and left.

My sister now stood shaking a mixture of coldness and fright. She was still stood like that a minute later say when the nurse came back. The nurse said for her to rinse completely and then realised something was up. My sister told the nurse about the plumber. The nurse said there was no plumber they wouldn't be allowed on the ward unescorted. There was an enquiry but no sign of a plumber ever emerged.

{I think this tale might be authentic. I use to be a nurse and know of a similar incident where a trades man saw more than he should quiet accidentally}

Yes as a nurse I got to see a fair few females naked in operation rooms. Also on wards and in bathrooms. Most where reticent about being seen by a male nurse but didn't have the same issue with male doctors. Occasionally you did come across a exhibitionist.

I was also lucky enough to see two female colleagues in the buff pre and post operation. Normally the girls would go to the next town if they need medical treatment not wanting friends to see everything especially the male porters, nurses and doctors.

Our son was born by C-section at the Adventist's Hospital in Hong Kong. After my wife had stripped nude down the nurses helped her onto the gurney and then shaved her. They then covered her with blanket and she was wheeled down to a surgical room in the basement. It was a Saturday and the basement corridors were not busy. The surgery had complete windows on two sides that opened out into the hallway. The windows went from waist height up to near the ceiling. The surgical table was about 15 feet from the windows, so any one walking down the hallway, such as janitors and maintenance men would have had a complete view of my wife.

After she had been sedated, the blankets and surgical d****s were removed and my wife was completely nude. The C-section took about 45 minutes because the female surgeon had to repair some scarring (keloids) from my wife's previous C-section before she was sewed up.

I was present the whole time, but my attention was focused on my wife so I didn't notice if there were any viewers watching the surgery. When I told my wife about it later, she was unconcerned. She said that hospital workers probably got used to seeing such things. So, I guess this was not exactly an ENF situation
