I would be happy to contribute towards the camera. Being a DSLR user, I do not know much about compact cameras. However, one piece of advise, get the largest sensor you can. Not mega pixels, but physical size. The larger photo receptors will allow you to recover greater detail from the shadows (bending over for example!) in high contrast scenarios like on the beach.

Hi guys, I am now back home on the coast.

I tried out the camera at much cooler temperatures and have found that the heat generated by the camera itself can now cause the oscillations in the zoom, so it's now much worse than at the start of the season. With that in mind, we may have to call an end to the beach season a little early this year.

I hope to get a beach visit in late this week and will see how things go.

Plenty more shots still to post, I'll put the next lot up when I get a bit more time.

And we continue with the set from last month, a day that just kept on giving!!!

This super little lady was about 6 feet away from the last couple (it's her and her partner's yellow parasol in the last set) and even more cute! I did not even have to move the camera an inch

The next photos of this cutie are pretty much all I got as she was sitting below the eyeline of the camera most of the time.

She is a great example of the 'best of' type of girls I see, obviously on vacation and probably a quiet sort of bank worker (no tattoos or piercings either) who may just suprise her co-workersone day by saying that they visited a nude beach during the summer. We dear friends have the photos to prove it

Below is link to the camera I use and the 'vibration' problem I suffer. The camera is way out of warranty now and I doubt if I fancy pulling it apart much either! It seems that they used some form of adhesive that gets 'tacky' when warm.

The replacement needs to be similar with no external moving lens (sand!) or look much like a camera either, e.g. no flasy colours and chrome trim.
