What an odd statue (and an even odder place to PUT a statue). Who is that supposed to be; Himmler? Baldrick?

Captain Mainwaring (pronounced "Mannering") statue in Thetford, Norfolk UK, where many outdoor scenes of Dad's Army were filmed. 1963-77 BBC WW2 sitcom featuring the part-time militia of those too old/young/sick to be conscripted when Britain "stood alone". Story of statue here bbc.co.uk/news/10359953.

Perhaps the funniest scene is when Mainwaring and his platoon are being held in the church hall by a U-boat captain youtube.com/watch?v=_YMVPXmaKds The last member of the cast "Pike" died recently.
