I guess where I make the distinction is full bra and panties, top to bottom shot out in the open clearly seen like the Loni shot in question-- not half and half with a crop or regular top with panties or hiding behind a locker. A matching set.

Now admittedly it's a small distinction but that's what I had in mind.

Clearly in the 70's with jiggle TV the landscape was changing and it's def. that TV would show panties. Under what conditions was still restricted in my view. I still feel it would take another 10 years before TV was comfortable showing a girl in matching bra and panties in full view, wearing little else.

I enjoy conversations like this to get different takes on things...makes me take note of stuff I hadn't considered/seen before!

Actually, there's full on bra and panties in this scene from 1979...but yes, these type of scenes were very rare pre-80's.

Diana Rigg in panties. The Avengers, episode; A Touch of Brimstone (1966). This one always shocked me because it was so risque, and '66 was very early for a scene like this to be in a television show.

It's a funny sketch. And for pure bra and panty goodness, it's a hard one to top (especially when she bends over in those silky panties).

Lana Wood's ENF scene from the film; Diamonds are Forever. Another example of the television version being different than the theatrical version. This scene wasn't reshot, it was altered (and they did a really shitty job). Lana's pink panties, which were somewhat transparent, have been darkened, and a bra has been "painted on" (she was topless in the original scene).

This is one of my all time favorite scenes. Had everything a snob getting her public comeuppance. Couldn't have asked for the pants to come off, even this was a little risque for the time.
