It actually took less time to rip it than it does to rip/convert it into wmv form. The only reason I rip it into wmv form is to edit the clips with Sony Vegas if I need to. Sony Vegas doesn't support VOB clips to be edited etc. But now that I know the quality is better if I rip videos in the future I'll use VOB.
