This has happened to us… twice. Not abroad, but at nudist resorts 2-3 hours from home. The first time was a male classmate and his girlfriend, so I didn’t really know the female. We had dinner together at a picnic area and stayed for a concert. The second time was a female classmate and her husband. I was walking down the street and heard my name. My classmate came out from her house and we had a long conversation while both of us were nude. We’ve had naked dinners at their house since then, so it has been totally comfortable. We have been nudists for a while, so that made it all a little more normal for us.
