Hotel spas are sometimes preferred for 2 reasons: 1. no cost as it's already included in the hotel stay, and 2. My wife may not want to go to a dedicated spa but would check it out if it's "just downstairs."
I had my first experience in a hotel clothing optional spa in Europe last year. I didn't know it was clothing optional and my wife was game to try it as she wasn't going to see anyone she knows there! What a great find.

Pretty much any hotel in Germany that has its own sauna or wellness (as they sometimes call it) area will qualify. There are also some places that are mostly sauna/therme complexes but also have a small hotel attached to it. Without narrowing down the geographical area, it’s difficult to recommend anything specific.
