A cloudy Bay to Breakers 2010
 

I almost headed south on Friday to join the throngs at Bay to Breakers 2010, but held up and at the last minute decided to stay home. The reason was the weather forecast and nothing more, with the outlook deteriorating just enough to cause me to shiver just a little bit thinking about standing at the start line.

But there will still be pics, and probably a lot of good ones. Nudes come out rain, fog or shine each year. Its just that last year was so warm, almost 90F, that it was inevitable some correction would take place this year.

I found a couple in the first batch of pics ( at Flickr ) ...... the comment from this user was that " it was
a cold and foggy day " :(

So far I've gone through over 7k of photos posted Sunday to flickr, picasa, smugmug etc, and I can tell you that this year seems to have been a complete flop, nudity-wise. Since nudity has only been increasing in the past couple years, I can only assume this is due to the weather. The real nudists (the folks in the yellow hats) still came out, but it appears the younger and more attractive set kept their kit on. That only makes sense, I suppose, but it's extremely disappointing nonetheless.

I'll keep searching over the next couple days, but I don't expect much.

Having gotten to know Pennywiseguy2 who is from New Zealand, I looked at the fifth pic (two blondes and guy) and said "Those look like NZ girls!" At least, they look like the girls Penny posts over at Flickr. I wonder if there is any way I could find out if I am right.....

Everyone starts out naked in life before they start wearing diapers. Seems this is "evolution" as far as the Baby Breakers are concerned? However, I have a different theory as to why they wear diapers. I think they are just trying to adopt to the new rules which seem to frown on drinking and peeing in public. No need for potty breaks for them.....

A practical solution perhaps, but otherwise, two thumbs down from me....

I'm glad we managed to find a few more nude/topless. However, I'm still disappointed. As has already been said, "The Nudes" still came out. However, one of the things that makes B2B so much fun is that a lot of people who aren't "The Nudes" still get naked, whether it's premeditated or spontaneous--meaning they started off scantily clad, but after a couple hours drinking in the sun the tops disappeared. My guess is that there was a lot less of that this year due to the weather. I also think a lot of girls that were on the fence probably found the weather as an excuse to back out. It's only human nature after all.

Still, it wasn't a complete bust thought as our posts indicate, and I will continue to search and post what I find. Here's what I've found so far that hasn't already been posted.

Those of you who have been scanning through photos will no doubt have noticed A LOT of walkers went as Na'vi from Avatar. Of all of them this is the only girl I found that actually went for it and went topless. That necklace seems to be covering her nipples too perfectly though, so my guess is that there's plenty of double sided tape at work. Still, pretty sexy. Notice the two behind her are just wearing colored tights--a total cop out in my opinion. At least the other girl is actually painted and wearing a bikini top.

I like the Na'vi look. I'll be looking to see if any Fremont bikers go as Na'vis this year.

A guy at Flickr that I correspond with who has done B to B (naked) for many years says of this years race "this is the coldest I have ever been naked!"

Here are some more finds... An interesting sidenote, it seems as if one of the female runners is purposely covering herself when certain pictures are taken and in other pictures she is not. I think it would be interesting to know her logic behind this and the criteria she used in deciding whether to cover or not. Maybe she's into ENF...

While not disputing that being less hot made it, well, less hot than last year, I have found some more: an Avatar woman topless without doublesided tape; two posted by a man, like flickr user thisnakedguy, whose thing is to be photographed while dangling his thing, but occasionally with also-naked women; and a tantalizing (not titillating, given the angle: buttillating?) photo eliciting a challenge - find a frontal view of the distaff Mad Hatter...

Also like "Mr Smiles is Back". The woods are full of them. They do us a service I suppose by acting as chick magnets, but then they have to go plaster their pics across every naked flickr group known to man from "Bay to Breakers" to "beautiful cocks". I have banned Mr Smiles......

Worthy of note: flickr user ilovetowatch, whose pictures of the B2B blowjob were posted briefly in this thread by mrmonkey yesterday (before being moved to the hardcore forum: if you missed them here, they're well worth a trip there!), has now added another 80+ of "regular" shots; he's also apparently got a better camera, so the full-size are big enough to time me out, hence only "b" sizes in this proffered smattering. Speaking of which, if anyone has faster connections, you might want to take pity on kingdavid, despite his inexplicable aversion to pressing the "Thanks" button, and upload f/s of the last of these...Finally, my two cents' worth on "Bare to Breakers" vs. "spontaneous" nudes: I'm damn glad for all of them, and of the opinion that the former's reliable presence may well be a useful catalyst (along, of course, with ethanol!) for emboldening the latter; also, the exemplars here and from last year strike me as equally - and utterly - delectable in both camps.

YOu know, I love the occasional hardcore public nudity pic, and who knows how many others float over to the HC forum because they are "not ready for prime time" in the this forum. Without your heads up, I never would have seen it. Maybe when a pic is moved, uploaded in its place could be a little square sign saying " pic moved to such and such forum". Just something to occupy the space where it used to be among the rest of the upload. I don't know. It would depend on how noteworthy it is I suppose. But if among 10 pics, 1 is a fabulous pic but too hardcore to stay in this forum, a little notice might be nice (I know Fango will sometimes reply with "I moved three of your pics to the hardcore forum" or something like that). Anyway, just a thought..
