Thanks for the perspective.

Thanks to Covid, I have a bunch of airline credits and decided to book an extra four days in Florida. It'll be a Wed-Sun situation, and I most definitely want to get down to Miami for Friday and Saturday at Haulover; I doubt I'll have the opportunity again to see that beach anytime soon. That said, now I have Wednesday and Thursday to fill. I was thinking about doing Wednesday night at Cypress (as it's right there in Orlando/Kissimmee), then maybe driving out to Playlinda or Apollo on Thursday. Any opinions on which beach is better? I know it'll be mid-week, so not busy per se...but it might be my one opportunity to visit those beaches too.

Karl

The only beach we’ve been to is Haulover and that is worth going to (maybe after spring break, since those crowds are just asking for COVID). Supposedly finding parking at Apollo is harder than Playalinda.

We just booked a trip to use up our COVID credits, too. We are just heading back to Lake Como for a 4 day weekend.

I'm thinking about doing a day at Playlinda and then spending the night in St. Lucie and visiting Blind Creek the next day. Then off to Miami for the weekend; seems like a nice way to break up a four hour drive from Orlando to Miami.

Now I've got to charge up some of my old spy gadgets, just in case I get a safe opportunity to save some memories...

Blind Creek Beach

We go pretty often to Blind Creek. It's a beautiful beach but has no amenities. You can drive north a mile for a shower. There were portolets until Covid-19 happened. Plenty of parking if you arrive before 1:00 pm.

The county is constructing toilets and showers at BCB. Should be finished in about three months. Surfacing the parking lot as well.

In late Oct, Treasure Coast Naturists are hosting another nude theater event. At a local theater. Comedy. Actors are clothed but audience is nude. Fun event.
