Had they protested clothed, few of us outside, and maybe inside, France would have known anything about it. Through the simple act of stripping, the people have globalised their protest, and ensured that the eyes of the world, particularly environmentalists, are now deeply aware of the issue.

I imagine the protest is taking place at the proposed site of the new waste burning facility. Why the hell would anyone wish to destroy a place with sub fabulous views (yes, you can see them if you take your eyes off the people in the foreground)?
