Arrow BS player (for vidcaps)

an easy tool to use for making vidcaps is BS player. theres many links where you can download it for free, by searching google.com
heres 1 link
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=BSPlayer

Once you have the player installed, open it up.
right click on the player and then click options, then click preferences.
You can chose where you want to vidcaps to go, by clicking on
"Directory for captured images" I normally save to my desktop.

in the nex box, select JPG

in the bottom "capture file name format" box copy and past this ---> %F_%A2
This will name all vidcaps by the title on the video and aslo automatyically number them.

Hope this help's.

regards
CP.

Yes this is a great find. Snag-it also has terrific shareware. The problem with Snag-it is that it can't grab stills from certain sources. For instance some .mov files can't be grabbed by snag-it. I've found that if BS player can open the file it can cap it. IF IT CAN'T OPEN THE FILE: Try to convert the .mov to an .avi or mpeg by using "AVS video Convertor" shareware. THEN cap the photo from the newly converted .avi

Default GOM- Great Media Player!

GOM Media Player is free and has a number of nice options, including an easy Control Panel for screencaps and also altering the contrast/brightness (very convenient for the amatuer video connoisseur).

VLC Player can also do caps and adjust brightness, etc, and plays just about every video file type.
