In a somewhat rundown section of a Ukrainian city, the Ukrainian bodyart festival is held every summer. This is a pretty cool event, although not fully nude, but cool because it is so public like the Fremont Festival, occuring right in a downtown area. In fact, pics like the ones below remind me of my own 2009 Fremont pics taken around dumpsters, trash, graffiti, etc. Anyway, from the looks of things, babes get painted right in the street, and then they have a sort of parade. The only thing missing here is full nudity and higher quality pics, because otherwise the typically awesome, statuesque Russian babe is surely in evidence here...

this is a crappy pic, but it gives you an idea of what the Ukrainian bodyart festival is like. Just imagine full nudity (with every Russian babe a 20 something model type) and a DSLR, 4000 pixel pic...

I noticed that even the babes doing the painting in the pics above are model types. So I'm thinking these are, like at the World Bodypainting festival in Austria, not just ordinary babes, but truly ARE models. Its a little hard to tell, as just about every Russian babe looks like a model to me

But its interesting, though, that the overall quality of the paint jobs is not professional quality like you'd expect if models were hired as canvases. Not surprising, I guess, if the babes themselves do much of the painting..?

YOU need MY help?? After such a spate of posts in the last two days in this thread that I can hardly be alone in being overwhelmed, to the point that I haven't even finished downloading my faves among your last few pages here, to say nothing of the plethora of sideways searching I'll now need to do back at flickr with the links you've provided? I'm too intimidated by what you've gotten there recently (especially since wherever I'd been just before catching these posts I now see you were already there waaay ahead of me), to even think of flickr as a source here for a while! I am not a little behind in posting, though, so how about I start with fill-ins from an event you, I, and Pedro have previously noted with a few samples: the Susan-Block-attended concert/pageant a while back in honor of the wacky artist Zorth (he had recently died; apparently the backdrops in these pictures are his work)? They're some of them pretty big in kb as well as size, so I'd time out before hitting ten, but here's a few of the fiddler to whet your appetite...

This is just the tip of the iceburg, Crispus. This is a whole new way to approach surfing at Flickr for me, and its already reaping dividends. So, for you and anyone else reading this - what I had never tried until now is to click on the link next to the pic you like to bring up the list of other users that have faved that pic already. This gives you a list of surfers who are going to have an interest in that type of pic, and ought to have many other favs from other users. Until now, I was only checking users that had faved MY pics. But that restricts you somewhat (I was getting tired of checking over favs that were way heavy on naked bikers). So below are a few finds and there will be many more, I'm sure..
