WNBR is on tomorrow March 4th in Melbourne, Australia if anyone can make it there. I dont think that I will be able to but would love to see some pic's.

I've heard that there is a ride in Sydney next weekend (Sat 10th March).

As I'm actually going to be in Sydney then (!) ... does anyone know the route ?

Can any locals suggest the best vantage point ?

Does anyone even know where prior year rides have gone ? Do they go into the touristy areas like the harbour bridge and opera house ... or does it hang out in parks on the outskirts ?

It's a fair sized town and I could easily miss it completely if I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time

Just for the record, there are rides this coming weekend, March 10th and 11th, in several Australian cities, including Perth, Adelaide, Byron Bay, as well as Sydney.

The Sydney ride has a Facebook page that should help you find the route.

Also, check this Wiki for information on all the Australian rides.........

Unless I'm missing something ... (which is quite possible !).

The only info out there is the meeting point - from which they intend to go to a "secret location" for painting up.

ISTM that if I go to the meeting point I will just witness a bunch of fully clothed people pedalling off into the distance to get changed/painted .

Do they come back to this "start point" for a grand send off ?

I don't even know if the race "traditionally" ends back at the start point. If it did I could go to that point later in the day and wait.

Are there any known locations where the ride almost always passes ?

The meet up is in Glebe ... but that's a Sydney suburb. Are they just going to ride around Glebe ... or are they going to ride into town and "do" the parks, etc , ?


... and I can't see any email list to join.


I need to know whether to go out to Glebe ... or where to hang around in town on that day.

To see the info, you will need to join the group.

As I have said many times, to get the best photos 'GET NAKED' yourself. All riders are happy to pose for a fellow nude rider, many (specially female) soon get pissed off with a queue of clothed snappers.

Get involved, this is a great cause and a really friendly thing, if you happen to get some great shots, post them here too, but do not waste your chance.

Often help is needed to paint people, you may get stuck painting a guy, (as I did once), but when a female saw what I did, she wanted to me to paint the symbol on her too!

I HAVE joined the group - but, perhaps because I'm a Facebook novice, I don't seem to be able to access any more info.

FWIW I think that I will be joining the ride - if I can get hold of a bike before Saturday.
