Texas pubic hair grooming trends
My wife and I have been regularly visiting nudist resorts, clothing optional beaches and parks (Hippie Hollow) in Texas for about 25 years. During that time we have seen a trend first toward heavily trimmed and then bald for both women and men. In the last few years, we have seen some return of pubic hair, usually a landing strip, among younger women. A few younger women and men seem to have lost their razor or trimmer entirely. Among middle-aged and older women and men, however, most seem to prefer remaining fully bald, as do we. Nothing like a few grey pubic hairs to bring out the trimmer followed by a razor with a fresh blade.
We are both admittedly exhibitionists and voyeurs, so its a bit more of a thrill to be walking around or lounging at the pool when there is no hair on either of us to obscure any details that others might want to see. At the same time, we appreciate others who share that approach, while viewing the full-bush wearers as somewhat odd, and perhaps a bit of not being up to the fully nude experience. Its their choice, and we would never embarrass them by commenting, but seeing such unkempt pubic hair reinforces our belief that bald is best.
Undoubtedly our nudist venues heavily skew any survey results toward people who are quite into body awareness and some degree of exhibitionism. Outside of these resorts, there is no doubt a preponderance of Texas prudes, along with a few cowboys or rednecks who would never consider modifying their pubes or visiting a place where public nudity was practiced. Happily we don't have to see or deal with them - their world is far different than ours.
