Thank you, Mikex2 for that info. I wasn't sure when the first Polaroids were available. I don't have the original picture so I don't know if it's a polaroid or not

From a closer look at that old photo, I have my doubts that it's actually a genuine Polaroid photo. More likely, a template of old Polaroid "pull and peel" image has the photo embedded in it with Photoshop or some similar program. You can find these "templates" online to fake old-time Polaroid photos (Google "fake Polaroid templates.") There are a few clues in it. The image of a frame around the main subject could also be that it's a copy of another photo made with the camera. A close up kit was made for them. My Dad bought one of the first model 95 cameras when they originally came out---I still have it---. The early film came with a swab of fixative to keep the image from fading. It was acidic and stunk like hell. If that wasn't smeared evenly on the whole print, there would be streaks that would eventually appear as that part faded in time.

Mikex2 you're a wealth of information. I remember those photos you had to smear the solution on and you're right that smelled horrid. So the best you can tell it's after or around 1948? if so it was taken by her second husband then. I'll share the info with my sister and thank you

These are some early digitals and I'm not sure exactly how old? I'd guess between 99 an 01. She insisted I cover something behind her along with her face. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy
