Or it is shot in the German city of Hamburg, St. Pauli district or in another German city where they have the exact same type of building containing on the left a regular Ibis Hotel and on the right a Ibis budget, formerly known as Etap hotel.

Thanks to that excellent hint from stevin6, I can confirm it's the ferris wheel ("riesenrad") at Hamburger Dom, "...a large fair held at Heiligengeistfeld fair ground in central Hamburg, Germany." (Wikipedia). See youtube.com/watch?v=KweM_MxTBJg , especially at about 35 seconds and following, to see the same background, though without the sign on the wall, as in the picture.

Yes, of course: that is Zurich/Switzerland. The river is called Limmat, and the church with the twintowers is the Grossmünster.

But the girl I couldnt recognize...
