There are so many things to take into consideration when talking about this part of their body!
If women are exposed to conditions like a Nude Beach or Adult Resort, I would say they would be going with the latest trend and would be All smooth at any of those places!
But if the woman isn't around any GF's that talk about the girl stuff, she wouldn't know and at least would be somewhat trimmed just so her pubes aren't hanging out past her Bikini or Undies!
I found out some of this from the 1st time my wife talked my bit younger sister into doing some Naughty posing with her! I think the surprise came from both sides, my sister seeing my wife all smooth and also me & my wife seeing my sister with a full Bushy one that was trimmed off on the sides!

I live the middle of the Midwest. Most woman I’m referring to are late teens to mid 40s.

The females in my family have no qualms about changing or being nude in front of each other. Same with most of my friends. I realize this is completely different with guys, but I believe it’s pretty common with females.

I’d say the overwhelming percentage is closely trimmed (60%), full bush (15%), shaved with some sort of strip or triangle (15%), and completely baby bald (10%)

As well as all the trimming and shaving, my wife went through a phase of dyeing her pubic hair. It was a good look, with the dark colour contrasting against her natural skin tone. We are a couple from Luxemburg in Europe. We are going to the naturist resort of Cap d'Agde in South of France for 15 years now, every summer the first 2 weeks in August. In August 2021 my wife had her nearly full bush waxed in a beauty salon inside the resort The esthetician at first had clipped with an electric razor her pubic hair to stubble and then applied warm wax, after the waxing my wife has to get used to her smooth pubic area and her esthtician told her that this is quite normal for all clients removing the pubic hair for a first time, in her opinion removing the pubic hair completely is the only way to show themselves really fully naked as pubic hair is covering the intimate parts and without pubic hair a woman accepts to show the vulva, outer lips and clitoral hood. Around the pool of our hotel at Cap d'Agde we also saw some women lying on the the sunchairs with their clitoral hood retraced.
