I understand your frustration that the pics arenīt great, but please realize that it isnīt easy not getting seen, handholding such a powerful lens in an unstable position.

I do have some nice mountain pictures taken with a better smaller lens, on a tripod that are as clear as a bell if you want. but I think if your on here, you really want naked women.
Cool, I like people with humoristic and sarcastic capacities...
Could I ask which cam do you have, one bridge with rotating screen maybe. If not, I suggest you something like the s5is by canon (or more recent). This way you'll not have to appear and dispappear as you do...just sit on the rocks, look the screen of you cam posed on your legs for exmple. If you're 400m away, they'll not care.

Personally, as you can see in my thread, with an old bridge with 3Pix and 10x zoom my photos look cool. I'm between 20 and 100 meters of the babes I think. Just act cool, be patient and it will be easier !!!

and it would cool to see your mountain pictures too as i like hiking...

As you cannot, and should not spend a fortune on camera and a suitable lens which would help you get better shots for the pleasure of armchair critics, keep doing what you do, I admire your bollocks in getting the images, and even if they are a little "soft" at least you got them.

Keep up the good work.
I hope that this comment is not for me man. Look my signature...and the photos that I took with a 10X bridge !
I did the comment and gave the advises BECAUSE I PERFECTLY KNOW the difficulty to shoot on nude beach.

Ok, I use a cannon 550, the problem I have is the beach is very small, the people who go there probably only get naked because they think they are all alone. If I was to sit on the beach with the camera on my lap, I doubt any would go more than topless even if they didn't notice the camera. The only place you can see part of the beach is from above, which is a good 400 metres away. And even then I have to lean over the edge. Believe me I would love sharper pics more than anyone, but it just isn't possible with this equipment at this distance and with the lack of cover, not to mention the danger of someone coming down the path and catching me.

Sorry for the delay, have been busy.
Spanish or italian couple I think, Just as I arrived they were having sex, I had no time to find a decent vantage point for that, but I did get a few pics of them going for a swim, sunbathing etc. It seems that when it is hot the heat rising from the sand gives the pics an extra dose of blur. Again am sorry about this but still better than nothing I guess.
The pics 483 and 484 are done with a 300mm + 2x converter and an 800mm + 2x converter.
Now which do you prefer, the 300mm with sharper pics or the 800mm for closer pics?
To see just how far away I have to be, the 600mm pic is approx. 11x closer than with the human eye. even so I can be seen if Iīm not careful, they wouldt be able to catch me as Iīm up a mountain, but would probably make them never go to that beach again which we dont want (The chances of them finding these pics on the internet are to slip to worry about)

Smile Image quality

You will have problems with quality for several reasons. Digital noise being the main one on your images, this is due to inexpensive camera and lenses (the converters you use are contributing to that too).

I don't wish to be negative, you have to work with the kit you have but long lenses, heat haze and camera shake all contribute to poor quality images I'm afraid.

I can interrogate the image and see that you have used a Canon 550d and the shutter speed is a 1000th of a second but the ISO is 3200 and unless you used a high end Canon or as I have Nikon D4's you will see that around the her hat of img0443 you will see "fringing" which is caused by digital artifacts.

The only way you can get the image quality would be to rest the camera on something like a bean bag (it's not possible to have a monopod in this line of work). And to cover the camera, or have it in a backpack and shoot from the hip so to speak.

Anyway, I do admire your pluck and bravery, and I'm sure we all applaud you.

Yeah, I have learned that although the high iso gives a lot of noise, they are better pics than having a low iso with a slower shutter speed causing blur. The camera is actually quite good and relatively expensive. The lens and 2x converter as you suggest are not.
