I got the Internet in 1995, and there were lots of websites of all kinds. Far fewer then today of course, but way way more than "very few", including a good number of porn sites. There was also plenty of porn to be found on message boards and forums, such as Usenet newsgroups. The problem with those there was no way to preview images with thumbnails or galleries, so you just had to download and hope for the best. And thanks to dial-up speeds it took a minute or two to figure out if you'd got something good. But despite all of that, it was free porn!!
