I'm no expert on Raquel. I was just a little kid when she was in her prime. I wouldn't know one of her movies or photo shoots from another. I would leave it up to the older members to possibly know if there was an actress from that era that looked like and was built exactly like her. If you think about it, finding a woman that looked like her would be hard enough. But finding a woman that both looks like her, and has that same busty-curvy hips-narrow waist build, what are the odds of that? If the pic was closer up, and in color, you could look for similarities that would prove or disprove if it's her...moles, freckles, etc. I did think of two things that could help prove the authenticity of the photo. Since we know how tall she is, if someone knew how tall that chair is, and could use that for scale, you could find out how tall that woman in the pic is. If she's taller or shorter than Raquel, then it's not her. Also, if someone knew of a photo shoot or movie that she did wearing those shoes, then that could prove the photo authentic.

I attached two photos of her where she is obviously nude, but covered up. Now assuming once again that it's not a look alike, maybe it's from a photo shoot like in these two attached pics. I'm sure she didn't walk out onto the set that way. She probably walked out in a robe, took the robe off, at which point everyone there sees her in the buff, and then she puts the sheets around her. Now using that similar scenario for the possible nude pic, she walks out in a robe, takes the robe off, puts sheets or something over her, photographer starts taking pics. Then after awhile the photographer says "Let's take a break" or "Raquel I need you to move over here" something like that. Then Raquel drops the sheets, and before Raquel can put the robe back on, the photographer snapped a photo. I know some people might wonder why Raquel would be so bold about being nude. "I can't believe she would walk around totally naked in front of all those stage hands." I can only say from my experience working on plays...it's limited but I did several as like a stage hand in college...and talking with people that I know who work on stage plays and behind the scenes work in Hollywood, that nudity and partial dress is a common occurrence behind the scenes. You either get over the shyness quickly, about either being nude or about seeing nudity, or you can't do the job.

With regards to the Raquel Welch nude, i remember reading somewhere that it wasn't her.
I think it was someone else(not fake), cant recall.. but all were convinced it wasn't her
Man i can still remember when i wasn't quite a teen yet, drooling over her wearing skimpy clothing from the movie "One million yrs bc"

She actually did pose nude for Playboy. However, neither Welch or Playboy were happy with the pictures, and they went with a selection of shots that were more modest (more of a tease). That was around 1978-1979. For that reason, and also for the reason that Welch - more than any other woman of that period - 1970s - epitomized the sex symbol. Not exactly following her father's dictates at all.

That being said, I still don't know if that nude shot is Welch.

who's to say the reason given was just an excuse to not pose full frontal, so as to not get daddy upset.

I read an interview Raquel did when the topic of nudity came up. This had to have been in at least the 80's if not later. I'm sure most people know that she was of partial Hispanic/Latina decent. Her real name is Jo Raquel Tejada, in case someone doesn't know. She said that her agent got her to change her name so that people wouldn't know she was of Hispanic decent. At that time that could, possibly, hold back someone's career. She said that she never did a topless scene because she was afraid that someone would notice that she had dark nipples, and figure out that she wasn't of 100% European descent, possibly hurting her career. Now whether it would've or not who knows. But she apparently was afraid that it would. I don't know about the "Dad wouldn't approve" thing. If you look at some of her pics from back then, there are several where she's wearing see through tops. You can make out her boobs, but not get a really good look at them. If she was so worried about her father's approval, I doubt she would've done those pics. I attached two pics. The black and white one is from 1972, so the pic says. I'm not sure what the date on the other pic is. But, do either of those pics look like the woman in them is concerned about what their father would think?
