Thought this might be worth posting, though now four months after the event... It's quite a small gallery that's had a thou some views, so may be new to some here and includes some nice, rare candids of some of the Brighton favourites- panties off, shades off etc.

Thanks for all the Philly & Portland stuff btw, have been paying more attention this year to the US rides since there doesn't seem to be such a swamp of UK images. Really great stuff. Though I haven't seen that discussed much here, the relative paucity of 2017 UK images- am I getting rusty at finding stuff? I mean, there's plenty, but seemingly much fewer than the last couple of years.

Not of course that I give it too much thought, but I have a theory about the almost complete lack of Cardiff photos this year. I chanced upon a pre-ride local news TV studio interview with an old transgender guy who's ridden for a few years, albeit with a new sexy young female friend who rode- two minutes of my life I'll never get back. But this year apparently there was some incident at the river with kids throwing stones at WNBR participants? Don't know what audience the local news gets but, I simply wondered if the three happenstances might be connected...

PNBR was great this year! My 4th year of the Philly WNBR, best I have personally attended. Something else stuck me at the event this year, more cameras (and smartphones) than I've ever seen. I expected a great year of flickr finds etc...but the number of photos (and quality) from this specific event is down. What does this mean: more cameras will scare off those with privacy concerns, meanwhile we the fans get less of the photos we expect.

An example: The girl with the red paint and amazing abs should have been posted 10,0000 times with the attention she received...I've found about a half dozen good photos.

Don't want this to turn to a b*tch and moan thread, but my final two cents until next year: IF YOU TAKE A BUNCH OF PICS, BY GOD POST THEM! DON'T SCARE OFF THE TALENT AND HORDE THE PICS!

Regarding the Cardiff ride, in Folkestone I spoke to a guy who had done it. Apparently the problems they had were started by a fella who took exception to naked people riding about in public and encouraged a group of youngsters to attack the participants with stone and rocks. As you can imagine, this rather put a dampener on proceedings and I think quite a lot of riders bailed at that point. Not sure if the shortage of pictures is related to this incident.

As for the lack of pictures from UK rides overall, I think at least in part it's that folks just aren't putting their images online, at least nowhere publicly accessible. The Brighton ride - traditionally the best of the UK bunch - is 'policed' by some absolutely dreadful feminazis who go out of their way to make life difficult. They had the cops remove one guy from Old Steine this year - he might have been a perv snapping bums and bits (I don't know, I just saw him being led away) but it's a public place and as long as you don't break the law, you can do what you like. Very dangerous precedent and this sort of thing will put off a lot of the more serious snappers. This in turn means there will mostly just be fifth rate phone snaps and such out there. They also had some mime artists capturing people loitering around the painting area at The Level in nets - this I thought was quite funny. But why the hell don't they just put opaque stuff round that area?

A number of the regulars who put pics online were also absent this time round, such as SL50AZ. Also, quite a few of the former regular riders didn't turn out this year either. I guess it all combined to make 2017 a somewhat less than vintage year.
