Ah, sorry, I did search but didn't spot it. Anyway, glad to have provided a better image. I agree it seems genuine and seeing the film might help confirm but it is one of those films which seem to have disappeared into a black hole.

Thanks for the large pic! I've always wondered about that photo. Although this would be a candid shot, Raquel Welch swears she never posed nude. It does not look like any set from Bedazzled, where she appears in two scenes as Lillian Lust -- one in a different looking bedroom, and one dancing at a party in a bikini.

Maybe someone else has some input.

I've been looking at this all morning, because I have a difficult time believing it, too. The body is a perfect match for how she looked in the movie. So, is the hair. And the face, for the most part. In addition, she is not really posing, but sort of standing around on set. However, I don't believe there were any nude scenes - or obscured ones - in the film (but it's been a while since I saw the movie).

The three things that make me doubtful.

1. There are at least one or two guys watching on the right side. I don't think Welch was ever this free-spirited with nudity where she would have just been walking around like that around guys.

2. The shot is fairly well exposed - back then, it was a lot more difficult to take a picture of someone surreptitiously. Basically, Welch would have known someone took the shot and been okay with it.

3. The shoes don't match. If you take a look at promo shots of Welch for "Bedazzled" she is always wearing the same pair of high-heel-shoes. They have a strap that runs vertically down the front. In every shot where I can see her feet, she is wearing that type of shoe. These shoes are not the same and I can't find any clothes shots where she is wearing these shots.

All that being said - I WANT TO BELIEVE!

Did a little snooping. I had the same idea about looking at the shoes. I googled "Raquel Welch" & "Bedazzled" in the same search box. I found several pics of her in the same outfit. I've never seen the movie, so I assume that's the correct outfit. I attached a pic of her in her "Bedazzled" outfit. You can see it's not the same shoes. Unless it's from a different movie. The body sure looks like a match along with the face and hair. I remember seeing that pic probably 20 years ago. A long time before internet fakes became the norm. If it's fake, it's a darn good fake...and from a time before photoshop.

I've seen the movie several times and have a pretty good memory of it -- this pic is definitely not from the movie set unless it's some deleted scene. There were no nude scenes in the movie. Raquel is on record as saying she would never do a nude scene as her father would not have approved. She wouldn't even take her clothes off when she posed for Playboy. Still, the pic is haunting......

I've heard that before...about why she never did nude scenes. The only thing I can think of is, if it's not her, and it's not a fake, and I don't think it is a fake, it's a woman who is built and looks exactly like her. I would think if it's not her, someone would recognize the actress/model. All I can think of, if it is her, and she never did a nude scene, maybe it's from a photo shoot or movie where she was required to be nude, but would be covered in some way...standing behind a prop, wearing just a fur coat, behind a dressing screen. That way she would be nude on the set, but the public would never see it. And someone happened to snap a pic of her when she wasn't covered, and she didn't notice it. She isn't looking at the camera, so she may have known the camera was there, but didn't know that that specific picture was being taken. If the pic had more detail, or was closer up, you could compare facial features and so on and maybe prove or disprove the authenticity of it.

Well, let me had my little contribution. This is the higher resolution image scanned i have in my collection. As you can clearly see, there are some cratches on the page when it was scanned. If it is a fake, no doubt it has been done with the original argentic pix by a true pro much before numeric invaded ! But still no details on the pix may let us think it is a fake. So with all that has been said above, we may also consider it could be a lookalike model, but this is the only pix, no trace anywhere of the original photoshoot if it was a modeling session.
So, nothing solved, and we still can think this is a terrific genuine pix of the lady !
