Do people working in a lab look at the pics they develop?

Several years ago, I took a roll of film into the local photo store. Most of the photos were generic family shots, but I had a few topless pics of my wife. When I picked up the prints later, the guy at the counter said, "There are some really nice pictures here." I walked outside to my car and opened the envelope. The topless shots were all at the very top.
