Well, if by "sent them bankrupt" you mean "bought an airline with overpaid staff and an aging poorly maintained fleet, then were bailed out by the NZ government while the Australian government refused to help", then yes Air NZ sent them bankrupt.

On a QANTAS flight not long ago the beautiful airhostess performed her safety briefing just in front of me. When she bent down to grab the life jacket, seatbelt etc; she provided me with a perfect view down her top and i couldn't take my eyes of her. The funny thing was she thanked me for paying attention at the end of the briefing! ... 'any time love, anytime'.
