It's not hard to trace facebook photos back to their source using the filename. The only problem is that unless the photo/gallery is public or you're friends with the poster, you're still not going to see the pic. In the case of the Renn Fayre pic above, the filename is:

4295_1148788676453_1129650080_30483582_6808515_n
(with the old format it would have been something like n1129650080_30483582_4295)

and the image location is:

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...&id=1129650080

As you can see, this gets you to an error message saying "The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page." In this case I assume the latter is true, because this trick works for any photo I've saved which I have permission to view.

In light of this problem, I'm not sure how useful it is, but who knows, maybe some folks out there with good photos are keeping them public...

They shoot a lot of girls along what looks like maybe the Columbia River. I wish I knew the location. It doesn't look like Collins Beach on Sauvie Is, but I can't be sure because there are too many similarities.

I did a little sleuthing and Hippiegoddess is located in Portland, OR and they shoot their models at Kelley Point Park at the junction of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers.

Hey Sal - a big thanks for that livejournal link.

Now I know why they carry their paint cans around with them - so that they can douse and harass others (like that old dude. Not me. If I were him, I would consider myself lucky to get tackled by a naked girl. Never mind the paint all over the clothes - it would be worth it even if the paint never came off.)

I took pics from my car. Never got out. Us non-reedies have to stay behind posted signs off campus. that old guy must have been faculty or alum or something (Or else he was tackled because he was tresspassing!)
